Currently they will accept dogs, cats, and rabbits as checked baggage in the cargo hold of the aircraft only. Pets and carriers are not considered part of a passenger's free baggage allowance and are subject to excess baggage rates. If you will be travelling with your pet, please contact EVA Air Reservations before the departure date to confirm the conditions of transportation.

Charges are based on one of two systems, depending on the point of departure and the destination:
Weight system - charged according to the total weight of pet and carrier.
Piece system - Pet and carrier will be charged as 2 units of excess baggage.*
*Pets and carriers weighing over 32 kg (70 lbs) will be charged as 3 units.
If your pet will be travelling unaccompanied, EVA Air Cargo may be able to help. They feature specialized handling for live animals, and as part of the Star Alliance family they may have other options available to accommodate pets. Please call EVA Air Reservations to determine what options may be available to you.
Pets may not be accepted on flights operated by codeshare partners. It is strongly recommended that you contact any codeshare partners or other airlines directly to familiarize yourself with their individual policies regarding pet travel.
