Singapore Airline

Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Singapore, currently offering passenger service to more than 60 cities in over 30 countries around the globe. They are also a proud member of Star Alliance, the world's largest airline network.

Singapore Airlines does not offer the option of transporting pets in the cabin of any of their aircraft. However, they do offer the options of carrying pets either as checked baggage in the cargo hold of the aircraft (accompanied) or as manifest cargo (unaccompanied). It is worth noting that pets are not accepted on all flights, as some aircraft in their fleet are not equipped to carry live animals. If you are planning to travel with your pet, they recommend contacting them at least 2 weeks before you plan to travel to ensure that they can accommodate you and your animal companion. When you call please be prepared to provide the Reservations agent with information about your pet (Type of pet, gender, name, age, weight of carrier and pet, dimensions of carrier, etc).

Pets and carriers are not included in your baggage allowance: they are considered excess baggage and will be charged accordingly.

IN-CABIN CHECKED BAGGAGE
CARRIER SIZE Singapore Airlines does not accept pets in the cabin of any of their aircraft. Carrier size will depend on the size of your pet.
CARRIER WEIGHT N/A Weight will vary depending on the size and weight of your pet and the carrier.
CHARGES / FEES N/A Charges for shipping animals will depend on the point of departure and the destination. Excess baggage fees apply.

Restrictions

  • Carriage of live animals is not allowed on some flights. Please call ahead to make sure that you and your pet can fly on a suitable aircraft.
  • Some breeds of dogs, and some other species of animals, are not accepted aboard Singapore Airlines flights. For a complete list of prohibited animals please consult their website or speak with a Reservations agent.
  • Transportation of pets is available from select airports only. Carriage of cats and dogs out of Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as carriage of cats and dogs into the United Kingdom and Houston, is not allowed.
  • Pets other than cats and dogs must be carried as manifest cargo (freight).
  • Travelers are reminded that every country has different rules and regulations governing the acceptance and transportation of animals. It is strongly recommended that you contact the consulate, embassy, or government authority for any country (or countries) you will be visiting to ensure that you have met all entrance requirements.

If you are unable to travel with your pet

Singapore Airlines Cargo can accommodate almost any pet that will be travelling unaccompanied, provided you have met all the requirements for travel. Please contact the Reservations line for further details.

Codeshare flights

Pets may not be accepted on flights operated by codeshare partners. It is strongly recommended that you contact any codeshare partners or other airlines directly to familiarize yourself with their individual policies regarding pet travel.
