Aer Lingus is the national airline of Ireland and has its headquarters at Dublin Airport. They offer regular international routes to and from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Continental Europe, and Australia.
As with many island nations, Ireland is recognized globally as a country which is rabies-free, and they would very much like to keep it that way. There are strict rules governing the import of animals from other countries. In order to enter the country with your pet you will need to be sure that you have satisfied all requirements for entry. In order to avoid quarantine, any pets arriving from countries with a lower risk of rabies must present proof of vaccination, proper identification, and in some cases blood test results confirming that no other diseases or parasites are present. Across the European Union it is a common practice to travel with a pet passport, containing all the required documentation, as well as microchip.
