If you are unable to travel with your pet

United Airlines' PetSafe® program was designed specifically to accommodate animals that cannot travel in the cabin of the aircraft. They follow all U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations and they offer regional, national, and international travel alternatives. They also feature a convenient tracking option so that you can follow your pet's journey online.

Shipping rates vary depending on the point of origin and the destination, as well as the type of animal being shipped, and the dimensions and/or weight of the carrier.

Codeshare flights

Pets may not be accepted on flights operated by codeshare and interline partners. It is strongly recommended that you contact any codeshare partners or other airlines directly to familiarize yourself with their individual policies regarding pet travel.
